Hi there! I'm back...

....and with a vengeance!

So... I've been gone for a while and have never updated, but if you follow me on Instagram, you'll see that I've been a little more active there (emphasis on a little). Basically since last July 2013, I've had some pretty major changes in my life and the transition hasn't gone as smoothly as I hoped for them to.

To cut to the chase, the following has happened:

1. Last year I've changed my college major from Nursing to Business which wasn't very easy to explain to my parents. (I came from a family of nurses and healthcare practitioners, yo!)

2. Because of said major change, I've transferred to a different school and I wasn't very comfortable about it at first.

3. I've started working at a retail job and also got an internship at a  Marketing Firm in Chicago in August 2013. School, internship and work wasn't as easy to juggle as I thought it would.

4. Beginning of 2014, I was able to do a collaboration with a friend of mine, who also happens to be a photographer, and we spent February-April working on makeup photoshoots for both our portfolios!

5. I've applied to MAC as a part-time makeup artist and officially became one since March of this year!

Basically since then, my job at MAC and school has been my top priorities. Most of my time have been devoted to finding a good balance between working almost 30 hours a week and being a full-time student. I think I have finally gotten well at balancing my time between school and work  and can now start dedicating myself back to blogging! Hoorah!

I attended a Catch The Beat Makeup Class here in Chicago and was able to meet Tatiana Ward and Renny Vasquez! I had so much fun and learned so much that day! 

My MAC Basic Training buddies and I! These ladies are amazing! I am so thankful to have met them at the beginning of my MAC Artist journey. 

I was able to go to visit the Big Apple in June! I finally saw my cousin that I haven't seen for four years. Yes, that's the cutoff Empire State building behind us!

I couldn't just go to New York and not visit Laduree! This was the Laduree at Madison Ave. I also visited the one in SoHo and I must say I loved that branch more because we were able to sit in and taste Laduree's restaurant menu. 

Fourth of July with my cousins! I thought it would be fitting to have my last photo from 4th of July this year; afterall, my last post before my unplanned hiatus was also from 4th of July last year!
