Lipstick Swatches: Coral and Bright Medium Pink Lipsticks

A few weeks back I was on a mission to find the perfect coral lipstick and bright medium pink lipstick. So,  I went to my nearest CVS and luckily found a few from Revlon and  Milani that seemed to be the perfect match the colors that I wanted. And boy did I enjoy the shades that I got! Also a few days after I went to CVS my cousins and I decided to go to downtown Chicago and we went to a MAC store and I found the perfect bright medium pink lipstick there!

Anyways, onto the lipstick pictures and swatches!

From left to right:

  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Lovers Coral
  • Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fuchsia Shock
  • Milani Lipstcik in Flamingo Pose
  • MAC Lipstick in Lickable

As for the swatches...

I swatched them in a bit of a different order as you can see:

  1. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Fuchsia Shock -This lipstick is what it says it is- a bright fuchsia pink. I find that this line of Revlon lipsticks come up a bit sheer and so even if they look very bright in the tube their color payoff was pretty sheer and translucent although buildable into a more opaque color. This was a bit of a pleasant surprise actually because I really was a bit nervous how bright the lipstick was going to be after I opened it. However, the sheerness of the lipstick made very wearable even for people like me who don't usually wear bright lipsticks. I really  love the cool tone of the lipstick as it really complimented my skin tone and helped made my teeth look whiter when I smiled. I would recommend this color to anyone especially those who would like to try wearing brighter lipsticks but is a bit hesitant. It's a great bright color to try because the buildability let's you to decide how opaque and bright lipstick will be on yourself.
  2. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Lovers Coral - A beautiful sheer true coral shade. There's just something about coral lipsticks on my face that I don't seem to like. I thought this lipstick would be another one of those, however, I really liked how the shade looked on my lips. Just like the other color, the sheerness of the lipstick worked to its advantage! I actually wore this shade quite a bit over Summer as it was the perfect pop of coral.
  3. Milani Lipstick in Flamingo Pose - This shade is a bright pink that has some coral/orange undertones. The bright pink tone with a coral undertone was a bit much for me at first, but I definitely enjoyed wearing it once I got used to the brightness of the lipstick! I do think this shade would look fantastic on many different skin types, though just be warned that it may take a little bit of getting used to.
  4. MAC Lipstick in Lickable - A wearable bright medium pink! If a bright pink lip is something you are thinking of experimenting, I would highly suggest checking out this lip color. It was bright enough to give my lips a good punch of color, but not too vivid as to make it look clownish on me. I love the formulation as it was creamy and stayed on for a decent amount of time on my lips.

That is all. What were your lipstick obsessions over the Summer?
