The Makeup Show Chicago Haul

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend with your families! As I've mentioned on my Sephora VIB Haul, November will be a big makeup hauling month for me. I've set a rough budget for these two makeup events and I'm actually surprised at how well I stuck to my budget! My most favorite thing about attending The Makeup Show was how good the deal was on makeup products from a lot of well-know brands.

I actually didn't spend as much as I thought, but still ended up getting a lot of products for my kit! Well, mostly my kit and then some for me. LOL! I think this was mostly because even though I kinda prepped myself for it, I was still a little overwhelmed and didn't really have a specific wishlist of makeup that I really wanted to try. All I knew was that I wanted to checkout a few products by specific brands, but otherwise, it was really all up to what I felt like getting once I was there and was able to see and test the products. I think this strategy worked well for me because I've been a makeup collector for a while now and have a huge selection of makeup in my collection. I am not in desperate need of any makeup product, either personally or for my professional kit. Obviously, my methods may not work well if you are a budding makeup artist and trying to build your makeup kit. 

Anyways, here are the products I bought from the Chicago Makeup Show:

Ardell Lashes

Upon entering the venue, the first thing we saw was the Ardell exhibit area. They were selling 5 pairs of lashes for $15. I decided to stock up a few styles for next year's wedding season. 

Velour Lashes in Whispie Me Away

This lash style from Velour is my most favorite lash from their entire collection. For $20/pair (40%off) I decided to stock up a bit for my personal use. 

Make Up For Ever Brushes

Make Up For Ever was one of the brands I was really keen on checking out. I wanted to buy more brushes from them, however, they did not have most of the brushes I wanted in stock, hence the reason why I only got a few of them. They were also 40% off. 

Kevin Aucoin

I've been wanting to try the Sensual Skin Enhancer from this brand and so I picked up a few shades to test out. I also got a back up of the Contour Powder in Deep for my kit. I can't remember how much the discount was, but I believe it was around 30% off. 

Eye Kandy

I've wanted to try Eye Kandy products since the first TMS Haul video I've seen. I was so excited to finally try them! This whole set was sold for around $60 and it comes with the Eye Kandy Liquid, 10 glitters that you can choose and a brush applicator. 

Like I said, I didn't do as much damage as I expected, and my bank is definitely thanking me for it! HAHA! I'm for sure going to The Makeup Show next year. I'm really interested to check out Temptu and Inglot, which I didn't really check out because I knew I wasn't on the market for their products.
