Collective Haul: Tom Ford and Christian Louboutin

IMG_6653.JPG

So, I must admit that this is a very long overdue collective haul. During the Holidays I treated myself to some high-end makeup products that I've been lusting over but can't afford to just buy right away. I've been saving for this "big" purchase for a few months and knew that this haul is pretty much my last treat to myself before 2015 ended. This haul became both my birthday treat for myself and holiday present as well!

I've always loved Tom Ford lipsticks and knew that I wanted to try more of his cosmetics line and I've also been so intrigued by Christian Louboutin's new lipsticks since they came out. I for sure knew that I wanted to  try Tom Ford's eyeshadow quads, highlighter, face brush and foundation. As for Christian Louboutin, I picked a few colors that I really was intrigued to try out. While this is not a review post, I will still be adding in some of my first impressions for the items I got the chance to use.

Tom Ford Quads in Orchid Haze, Cocoa Mirage and Golden Mink. I've always been intrigued with how these eyeshadows go on and also, I've heard so much about Tom Ford's shimmer shadow being one of the best in the industry without looking tacky especially on mature skin.

Tom Ford Illuminating Powder Duo. I've been eyeing this highlighter duo since September of last year. It's been sold out since then but when I visited the Tom Ford counter last December, they had it in stock! I really liked how it swatched and how fine the texture is!

Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting Foundation in Tawny and Tom Ford Complexion Enhancing Primer in Peach Glow. I planned on getting the foundation but not the primer. The associate at Tom Ford was busy helping this other customer when I came in so I distracted myself with their face products while I waited to be helped. I really liked how the primer went on the back of my hand and decided that I needed to get it as well, ha! I will be doing a review with check-ins for this foundation and primer combo in the following weeks!

Tom Ford Illuminating Highlight Pen in Amber Eclat. I blame the Tom Ford SA for this purchase as well, lol! Of course, I really liked the consistency of the product when I was playing with it and I could tell that the color would be a great undereye highlight and concealer. (Only product photo is the post main photo)

Tom Ford Blush in Savage. The product I was very excited to try as can be seen in the swatch marks of the photo. I was so excited to wear it, I did not care that I haven't taken a photo of the product yet before using it.  I can't remember if DustinHunter or Wayne Goss talked about this blush but when I saw it, the color was everything to me! As some of you may know, I've been really into bronze-y blush colors lately, and I've been addicted to finding similar colors in other cosmetic brands.

Tom Ford Cream Foundation Brush and "Shade and Illuminate" Brush. Always heard good things about his brushes and I really liked the shape of this brush. I know that it's meant to be a foundation brush but I was thinking it would be a good contour brush as well. I have not tried it out yet but I'm definitely excited to use it for contour and also foundation.

As for the Shade and Illuminate Brush (gosh, that's a mouthful), I really liked its shape. Its shape is something I haven't really seen any company carry, so I'm interested to see how well it works for creme contouring and highlight.

Tom Ford Creme Color for Eyes in Opale and Siren Blue. This was actually a purchase I  made in a separate trip early in February (I think). I happened to be passing by the Tom Ford counter, and of course, they just released their new Spring colors. There were three colors that really caught my eye. These were the two, and then an olive green color called Burnished Copper.  I don't wear a lot of green shadows, so naturally these two colors won me over; although, I may come back for that color depending on how well these two perform.

Christian Louboutin Lipsticks in Rococcotte(Matte), Very Prive (Satin), Just Nothing(Matte), and Miss Clichy(Satin). I must say that Christian Louboutin's Matte and Satin Lipsticks is pretty much tied with Tom Ford lipsticks for me, formulation-wise! It goes on so smoothly, very pigmented  and wears comfortably for hours on the lips. It also feels conditioning to my lips as well. I'm very glad that this product came through especially for its price!

Christian Louboutin Lipstick in Eton Moi (Matte). This shade had to be ordered separately and came in a few days after I bought the other products. The formulation is similar to the other mattes and I love it as well!

And that is all! I know this was such a ginormous haul and post! So far, I haven't gotten around to testing and wearing all the products yet. Hopefully, I can do separate reviews for most of them in the near future.

What have you hauled recently?
