Haul: Sephora VIB Sale 2016

One of the things I look forward to every November, aside from Thanksgiving, would be the Sephora VIB Sale. This sale has been going on Sephora annually for a few years now, and usually falls around the first half of November; this is when I usually tend to get higher-priced items, like quality skincare products, that I've been wanting to try all year but did not want to pay full price on. This is also the time where I get the best deal on Holiday sets and try a few sampling of them. For this year's VIB Sale, I tried to narrow down my list  because I already knew that I was going to The Makeup Show Chicago and would be buying a few things there as well. I didn't want to go overboard and spend way too much on makeup for the month of November, although, this is definitely the month where I let myself splurge on makeup. With that said, I still tried to exercise some self-control -- key word is "tried". 

Below are all of the products I got from the Sephora VIB Haul. Feel free to hover over the photos to see my comments on each item!

Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette

Of course the very first thing I had on my online basket is the Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette because I have been itching to get ahold of this palette! I finally got my hands on it, you guys! 

I was BEYOND excited to try out the textured shadows! One look, and I could already tell that I was going to love them. I already posted the review for this palette. I wanted to try it out immediately! 

Natasha Denona Star Palette

Of course, I was going to take advantage of the 20% off and buy this palette. I love Natasha Denona's eyeshadows, and this was definitely on my radar when it came out. I was just waiting for the Sephora discount before I snagged it because I knew it was coming up a few weeks after it was released! With the price of her palettes, it just made sense to get them during the VIB sale. 

The colors looks so beautiful! Definitely very different from the color scheme of her two other palettes. I'm excited to test out the reformulated eyeshadows. Be on the look out for a review soon! 

Kat Von D MettalMatte Eyeshadow Palette

Yes, another eyeshadow palette! If you guys have read my blog posts from before, it 's pretty obvious that I have a soft spot for eyeshadow palettes. They are one of my major weakness! I really liked the concept of this palette and I like the color selection it offers. 

And here's the inside! A row of metal shadows and a row of mattes. I'm already loving the color variations in the palette! 

Marc Jacobs About Last Night Eyeshadow Palette

I really liked the first version of this palette, and so I decided to purchase their new version for this year because for the price it was pretty much going to be a steal -- or so I thought! 

Natasha Denona Eyeshadow Palette 5 in Color 2

I was curious about Natasha Denona's smaller palettes and so I thought I'd give this eyeshadow palette a go. However, upon unboxing, I realized that I have 4 out of 5 colors in this palette already. Sadly, this will be returned. 

Touch in Sol Metallist Liquid Foil and Glitter Duo

I was swatching these shadow duos at Sephora last Spring. I knew I wanted to get them for the VIB sale. I like the layering effect and also the beautiful texture they gave off. I'm definitely interested in seeing how well they wear throughout the day. (Top to bottom: Talia, Margaret and Eldora)

CoverFx Custom Enhancer Drops and Becca Champagne Pop Poured Cream Highlighter

These highlighters have definitely been in my VIB Sale wishlist for a few months now. I just couldn't get myself to spend the money full price. I can't wait to finally try them out! (L-R: Moonlight, Champagne Pop and Sunlight)

Here are the photos of the CoverFx highlighting drops without a flash. They reflect light so well, it was very difficult for me to take a photo of them with the flash of my camera!

The Purity cleanser was a Sephora 100-point perk. I got a small smudge brush, because I've been into using those really small brushes for lining my lower lashline with eyeshadow. I've also been interested in the KVD White Concealer. This one is definitely for my kit, to help me lighten and brighten concelaers and foundations in a pinch. 

Sunday Riley Skincare for Oily Skin

I was excited to learn that Sunday Riley released a bunch of skincare products for more oily/combo skin. I've heard a lot of good things about her products, but haven't tried them because none of them were really for my oily skin before. I'm excited to finally get to try out her skincare line now! 

Dr. Jart+ Masking All the Way Set

I've been into sheet masks lately because they are just so easy to use and fuss-free. I decided to try out a gift set of masks by Dr. Jart. I might do a review round up of these masks when I get around to trying most, if not all, of them. 

IGK Down&Out Dirty Spray

This was the only hair product purchase. I'm not really big into hair products but Tati recommended this hair texturizer because it gave her a lot of oomph and texture. I definitely can't wait to use this when I curl my hair! 

Now, while it may seem like I still got a lot of products this year, I actually did considerably well compared to last year. This year I did not buy as many skincare items, because I still have a few products from last year that I haven't gotten around to try yet.

I am positive that I'll be returning the Natasha Denona 5 Eyeshadow Palette, since I have majority of the colors in my other larger DN palettes. I'm still on the fence with the Marc Jacobs About Last Night Shadow Palette. I really like the palette although I feel that the color scheme of the palette is nothing unique to my collection. I probably have 5 versions of this color scheme and frankly, I do not think I need another one. By no means does this speak to the quality of the palette, I'm pretty sure the quality is amazing, it's just I buy a lot of eyeshadow palettes and the color scheme is something I already have, and so it's most likely going back.
