My On-The-Go Makeup Look

So, there's going to be days when you want to look semi-decent but don't want to spend more than 15-20 minutes on your makeup. I tend to be a very all-or-nothing type of person; I either have a full face of makeup or I have none. Most days, when I'm not working or trying out new makeup products or a new look, a bare face is pretty much my go to. However, recently, I've realized that I wanted to create a makeup look for myself that I can wear professionally to enhance some of my features  on days when I want to look natural - as long as it only takes me 15-20 minutes, tops!

At first, it was quite difficult for me to resist the urge to do my makeup this way; when you're used to doing glam makeup (even if it's just natural glam) most of the time, it's very hard to resist the urge to not want to take the time to perfect your look. Before, I always schedule in 30-45 minutes to do my makeup! I know, a bit too much for everyday!

The Look

  • Brows - Tom Ford Powder Brow Gel in Espresso and Chanel Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Noir Cendre
  • Eyes - MAC Prep+Prime 24-Hour Extended Primer, MAC Eyeshadow in Brule (soft wash on the lid) and Saddle (crease), Becca Highlighter in Moonstone (inner corners and brow highlight)
  • Eyeliner - Tom Ford  Eye Kohl Intense in Metallic Mink (waterline), MAC Eyeshadow in Brun (top eyeliner)
  • Mascara - none because I'm currently wearing lash extensions
  • Primer - Urban Decay De-Slick Complexion Primer (T-zone) and Tom Ford Complexion Enhancing Primer in Peach Glow (allover my face)
  • Foundation - It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream in  Tan and Rich (I mix half a pump of each in the back of my hand, before I apply allover my face)
  • Cheeks - MUFE Sculpt Powder in S118, Tom Ford Blush in Savage and Becca Highlighter in Champagne Pop
  • Lips - Marc Jacobs Gloss in Pretty Thing (318)

This may seems like a lot of products, but I promise you, this look only takes 15 minutes for me to do. The technique is that everything is applied quickly and with a soft-hand, so that you don't spend a lot of time blending so hard. The goal is to have a soft makeup look, so no need to stress about the precision of the makeup so much. Just like any new makeup look that you're starting out with, in the beginning it may take a bit more time, but as I've done this look everyday now, I've learned to apply this look quickly!
