Review: Dose of Colors Liquid Lipsticks

I've had these liquid lipsticks for the longest time now, but have not had the chance to go ahead and try them out until recently.  (I know! **eyerolls*) What drew me to this brand of liquid lipsticks were their color selections. They have the type of neutrals that I really like to wear and I've also heard really good things about the formulation and wanted to try them out.

These liquid lipsticks sells for $18 and contains 4.5g/0.16 oz. of products. It can only be purchased from doseofcolors.com. The color I have and will be testing out are Stone, Truffle, Dessert Suede, Brick, Mood, Berry Me and Berry Me 2.  

Application

The liquid lipsticks go on pretty smooth and the product is very lightweight and fluidy. I didn't have any issues with the application at all and it dried pretty quickly. The consistency reminded me of the Stila Liquid Lipsticks.  As the product dried on my lips, I noticed that it  got a bit tacky but then dried into a velvety texture. The finish was quite matte on my lips, so I do recommend that you exfoliate and hydrate your lips well before you wear this product or it will definitely emphasize any dryness on your lips.

Wear

I found that this lipstick wore about 6-8 hours for me. There was minimal transfer when my lips came in contact with my straw and cup. It also felt really comfortable throughout the day and did not dry out my lips as the day went on. The only thing that I have an issue with, although very minor, is the velvety texture the lipstick left behind did remind me that I had them on, but it wasn't bothersome at all. 

Final Verdict

While these liquid lipsticks did not top my Stila Liquid Lipsticks, I do still highly recommend them. Like I said above, there was something about the velvety texture that it had, that kept reminding me that I had them on my lips throughout the day, while often times I forget that I'm wearing my Stila Liquid Lipsticks. These liquid lipsticks are  probably in my top 5 when it comes to liquid lipstick formulations. I love the color selection and they are one of the lowest prices I have found in the market that are very good quality! The big winner for me is their color selection - they offer many neutral colors that are just so flattering and beautiful on!
