It's Finally October- Posting Schedules and Current Makeup Routine
Happy Monday!!!
So, it has been a while since I paid any attention to this blog.....
Ermm, let's get real, I haven't been really giving this website much attention since I started it. I would find myself editing the layout on and off, but I haven't been focusing on creating more content and posting actual blog posts. Now that I finally am content with my layout and I have the equipment/gadgets to create quality content, things are about to change - for real this time! I am really determined to give this blogging thing a go and I've decided the best way to get this going is by having a posting schedule to help me stay on top of it. From now on, there will be new posts every Monday and Thursday! What better way to kick off the month of October other than a new scheduled blog post?
So, onto my current makeup routine obsession....
I've been into wearing barely there makeup looks that are fresh and just emphasizes my features. I've definitely taken a step-back from wearing full-coverage foundation, smoky eyes and full on contouring. With my oily skin, that whole routine is just too heavy for me on a daily basis. I've been obsessed with creating a no makeup-makeup look that I can do in 15-20 minutes that still looks complete yet subtle. Think, #iWokeUpLikeThis with a touch of radiance in my skin and definition of my features - kinda like those leading ladies in Hollywood movies! ;)
I've been wearing this look pretty much everywhere, even on my days off. I used to not like wearing any makeup on my day off, because I like my skin to breathe, but there are days when I just have to be out and about where I prefer to look more put together but still let my skin breathe.
Anyway, on to the products that I'm using to achieve that look:
Skin
- Primer- MUFE Smoothing Primer on cheeks and chin and MUFE Mattifying Primer on T-zone
- Foundation- Chanel Matte Velvet Foundation in B50
- Concealer- Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer. This concealer is LIFE! The name says it all- it is a lightweight yet full-coverage concealer! Perfect for undetectable everyday makeup look.
- Contour- MAC Contour Powder Duo in Lightsweep and Shadester. Shadester is the perfect shade to add a bit of color and dimension to the skin ,while I like using lightsweep to highlight my nose and set my undereye concealer.
- Blush- MAC Warm Soul Mineralize Blush
Eyes
- Brows- MUFE Aqua Brow in shade 25
- Eyeshadow- Layin' Low Paint Pot all over the lids up to the crease
- Eyeliner- MAC Prolongwear Eyeliner in Rich Experience on the lower lash line and for tightline on upper waterline. An espresso brown shade looks better and more natural on me.
- Mascara- MAC Extended Play Lash sometimes layered with MAC Haute'n'Naughty Waterproof Mascara on hot and humid days!
Lips
- MAC Prolongwear Lip Liner in Staunchly Stylish and MAC Patisserie Lipstick
And that's it! I was kinda proud to only use 12 products for this look. You all know how it's so easy to pile on the products! LOL! I hope you're all having a great start to your month! Until next time...
P.S. Who's excited for Halloween?
