Review: Master Palette by Mario

It is finally here, after a whole year of teasing! After seeing a sneak peak of the Master Palette by Mario from his Masterclass, I knew that I immediately wanted to get one for myself once it was released. I was able to purchase it from ABH immediately right when it released. I wanted to review this palette sooner, however, I was not able to try it out right away.

First of, let's talk about the color choices. The colors are, in true Mario-fashion, mostly warm golden tones which is pretty much what he gravitates towards on most of his makeup looks. All the shades are inspired by the women and places that has influenced him greatly, thus far, in his career. I really like the color selection of the palette and it has an assortment of metallic, shimmer and matte finishes. I find that doing an eye makeup look using only this palette will be quite easy to do and there's an endless amount of color combinations and looks you can get from this palette.

As for the quality of the shadows, I find that they are very smooth, feels very creamy and are quite pigmented. I feel like the quality of the shadows in this palette  is better than some recent ABH palettes I've tried. That is not to say that the other palettes were horrible, because they were not, but rather the quality of this is so much better. This is something I pretty much expected from Mario, though, because he always showed importance of the quality of the shadows when he was still formulating and putting together the entire palette.

As far as wear-time for these shadows, they do wear throughout the day for me, although I always use a primer underneath. I have not tested their wear-time without primer, because I don't wear my shadows sans primer, so I don't really see the point in testing that.

I really think that this palette is definitely worth getting especially if you love warm golden shades! There are 12 colors for $45.00, which is definitely a steal considering the great quality of the eyeshadows. Yes, there are colors out there that can dupe the shades in this palette, but I do think that the color combination of the palette was chosen really well and is very practical as an all-in-one palette. I love all of the shades in the palette although some shades I'm currently obsessed with are definitely Marina, Kim, Paris and Bronx. I'll definitely be wearing more of these shades this Fall season! Hmm, I may just even do a makeup look using this palette...very soon!

Have you tried the Master Palette yet?
