Haul: Tieks by Gavrieli
As I've mention in my 2016 Best in Lifestyle posts, my Tieks are one of the best things I've ever gotten in 2016. I used to own 3 colors: Obsidian Black, Lovestruck and Rose Gold. I really love how comfortable and versatile they are. Add to that their quality and how classy they look, and you really can't go wrong with purchasing a pair or two - OR three! Since I got them, I've pretty much lived in my Tieks and made them my everyday shoes and also have worn them for all day walking while traveling, so trust me when I say that they are very durable and offer more than their classic ballet flat look.
I decided to add a few more neutrals to my collection in preparation for the upcoming warmer Spring weather. I got the colors in Matte Black and Slate Gray Croc because I wanted more neutral flats that I can wear with any outfits I decide to wear. While many might consider my Rose Gold and Lovestruck Tieks as neutrals, I think of them more as subtle pops of color. I really wanted to get a pair in gray because it's pretty much my favorite neutral color aside from black. What made me decide to get the Matte Black is that I could not find my black obsidian pair anywhere in my house, and that pair was a size 10 which has stretched out anyway because of how much I wore it, so I figured another pair in black wouldn't be an overkill.
I am normally a size 9.5 and have wide feet. Tieks only comes in full sizes and recommend you size down if you're a half size, unless you have wide feet, then maybe you can size up. However, based on my experience, I'd say still size down because even if it may feel a bit snug and a little uncomfortable at first, the leather stretches to the shape and size of your feet after a few wears. Just make sure to break in your new pairs slowly, before you take them for an all day walk around the city or something.
I really like the colors that I got! Right now, I already got my eyes on a few pairs that are definitely pops of color! **cough** Fuschia and Ruby Red **cough** Who knows, maybe I'll end up getting those colors for the summer? We shall see!
Have you tried Tieks yet? What colors would you like to have them in?
