2016 Best in Lifestyle
Hi everyone! To continue our celebration of all the great finds of 2016, today, I'm bringing to you my Best in Lifestyle for 2016! I've tried many different products, and definitely found a few products that I just could not live without after using them.
- MacBook Pro - I broke my laptop (RIP Sony Vaio) back in June. Before that happened, I was already in the market for a new lightweight laptop that I could take with me anywhere without it being a hassle. As I was looking for a laptop replacement, I was able to borrow my dad's MacBook Pro. I've always been a PC girl, so using the Apple set up was a bit of an adjustment, but I really liked the interface of it, and so, I decided to get my own MacBook Pro. I'm glad to report that I'm in love with my new laptop, although, I am still learning and adjusting to all of its features, up until now. But hey, I'mm enjoying all the learning I'm doing while also reaping the benefits of a more portable laptop and that's what matters most!
- Audible - I LOVE AUDIBLE and I can't stop talking about it! This year, I've fallen even more in love with it because of their introduction of Audible Channels. I love the Channels that they have and it definitely makes the monthly memberships even more worth it for me.
- Marble Slab from Crate and Barrel - What's not to love with this product? I mean this heavy block of marble has just been the backdrop of most of my product photos from 2016! I remember seeing it online and going to Crate and Barrel the next day to get it, not realizing how big and heavy it was. It was all worth the effort and the money I paid though!
- Starbucks Cold Brew and Flat White - For the past 9 years, I've only ordered one drink from Starbucks, and that's their Iced White Mocha, usually in the venti size which amounts to about 500 calories. *gulps* In an effort to lessen my daily calorie intake, I had to re-evaluate what I eat and drink daily and curb some of the bad ones. Alas, my daily coffee was one of them! One of my best friends is a barista at Starbucks, and she told me about Cold Brew and Flat White options that are much lower in calorie count, but still taste really good. I've started ordering this two, and not looked back since!
- Tieks Flats - I'm in love with Tieks flats! I love how comfortable they are and quite stylish too. You will probably find me wearing my Tieks at least a few times a week, no matter what season it is. Flats are my go to everyday wear and I'm finding that my Tieks collection has definitely grown a few pairs.
- Crossbody Bags - I love big tote bags and structured purses, however, this year, I realized that I'm really digging the crossbody bag trend! I can't help but love that they are so easy and hands-free! They are perfect for daily on the go activities.
- Pandora Bracelet Charms - My sister-in-law introduced me to the Pandora charms as a way to catalog my travel adventures a few years ago. This year, I've added quite a few charms to my bracelet, and I found myself reminiscing about my past trips which brought wonderful memories. I really am glad I started collecting them, because they hold so much more sentimental value to me rather than material value.
- To Love Jason Thorn by Ella Maise - This romantic comedy find on Audible is one of my favorite reads for 2016. I've reread this book more than 5x in 2016! I really enjoyed this book so much! Olive and Jason's story is just so sweet and hilarious! If you have not read this book, I highly suggest you do so, especially if you are looking for a just a cute and sweet romance book!
- The Day Designer by Whitney English - Early in the year, I was using the Erin Condren planner and seemed to like it, however, as the year went on and my schedule got super busy, I needed something that can help me stay on track with my goals and to-dos better. This planner has definitely kept me on top of things this year! The past year has been filled with so many activities and tasks that needed to get done, and this planner has definitely helped me manage my time and plan out most of everything.
- Chanel New Medium Le Boy in Black Lambskin Leather - This bag is my Unicorn! It is pretty much my top bags to own and I didn't expect to get this bag this year. During my trip to Paris, my mom and I visited the Chanel Flagship store at 31 Rue Cambon and were able to find this bag in stock! I wanted a specific leather type, hardware color, size, and design that was not easy to find; the fact that it was in stock was a sign for me take the plunge and get it! I am so in love with this bag. I love how it looks sleek yet still casual, so I can wear it everyday without feeling so dressed up and also on special occasions because it is still dressy enough!
